Topic: Social Impact through grassroot innovation

He is an innovator by heart, engineer by mind and a photographer by hobby. He keeps making things, even if he does not know what he is looking for. He has an ethos of impromptu building of things, the time of the day doesn't matter. Come up with an idea, prototype it, iterate on it, get feedback and when it feels solid enough leave it. Respiring again. He is behind the massive intiative that is BULBH, which is a micro USB powered LED light to light up villagers who don't have access to such necessities.

 


Arpit Dave: Co-founder of Roadrunnr 

Topic: Innovation in provision of service and hyperlocal logistics

Roadrunnr caters to merchants, restaurants and e-commerce companies, managing their deliveries in a cost effective manner while adhering to service level agreements. The company claims to have the largest fleet for on-demand services in Bengaluru and has recently started operations in Delhi NCR. It now plans to take this model across India and develop the largest fleet of on-demand hyperlocal delivery carriers in the country. 


Youth Innovation for a better India

11 Year Old who won the Intel IRIS Fair Award. Nasser is a child. Yet he is unlike others of his age. When he was 1, he did not play with toys. Instead, he wanted to look inside toy cars and gadgets. At 2, he was neatly unscrewing all his toys and gadgets to satiate his curiosity for what's inside. At 5, he was reading his dad's books on Java programming. At 7, he had finished a book on C++. Last year, he finished Stanford's online courses on databases and cryptography. He is currently doing online courses on statistics, circuits and electronics and computational neurosciences from Udacity, MIT and University of Washington.
