Autonomous Land Surveying Unit (ALSU) is a device aimed to reduce the human efforts involved in the surveying process. Itnot only minimizes the human intervention but also reduces the time required for surveying significantly - surveying for much larger areas can be carried out at a much more accelerated pace than the conventional method. Also since it is totally machine based the accuracy of the survey is also enhanced. It can give us very accurate contour maps in much lesser times than that
required by the conventional method.
